Just supplied a big order for the graduation gifts for Princeton’s Environmental Studies Program. Did a rush order of six various styles with recycled woods, and six cigar style pens in bamboo.

Our son, Hiro, was born on 12/19/07 at 11:24 AM.  He’s a fine young healthy boy, with good lungs and a lot of hair.  He’s going to cut into my shop time for a bit, but that’s ok.

It’s been a slow bunch of months for Badger Woodworks, mostly because of the discovery of my new apprentice to be.  We’re going to be expanding the family in early December, and we’ve been pretty focused on that.

However, I’ve managed to get into the shop a couple times and gotten a few projects done.  I made a nice hand mirror as a present for some friends, but unfortunately I didn’t get and good pictures of it.  I made a couple fridge magnets out of Tigerwood, and I’m thinking making a few for the holidays.  I also got a project done for some costumer friends, and turned some “bludger bats” out of Poplar wood for their Harry Potter Quidditch costumes.

This is the first news item on the new site!  The site was created, not much to see here, but it’s growing.  The site is being built in a new content management system called CMS Made Simple.  So far it’s been a joy to work with, and I really like it.
